My fascination for Costa Rica explained

Dear all,

Today I want to talk to you about one of my favourite destinations Costa Rica. When Columbus set sail to this country in 1642 and set food on this beautifull country he said those words for the very first time. For a reason. The Rich Coast country was so green and attractive that he thought it would be loaded with gold.

He dit not find the gold which was hidden by the native indians, assumed near El Arenal ( La Fortuna), but dit see the country as the first tourist ever. What he explored and found was breathtaking. White sandy beaches with palm trees on the Carribean coast, green mountain valleys, volcanoes, rainforrests, the pacific coast with yellow up to black beaches. A lot to see and to explore.

Today Costa Rica, Eco country has many nice place to visit from coast to coast. And it starts on Juan Santa Maria Airport near San Jose. Just the flight in is stunning. You feel surrounded by nature when the plane is landing, surprised by the huge compounts of the Capital San Jose, because what you see before are smaller cities and tiny villages. Overwhelmed you feel inmediate at home. First you see when you enter arrivals is the big pictures of canopy behind the imigration desk and you think i want to do that.

Most vacations start in San Jose, best adviced is to stay overnight and travel the next day to your destination. If you see the roads you will understand why. Costa Rica might be quit modern with 1 good road, the transatlantic, but that is it. It takes hours to get to your next destination, but the trip is worth it. Your eyes will have not enough time to absorb the beauty.

In 2002 i went to Tambor the next day and traveled for 6 hours on the road and boat to get there. It was somewhat rainy when we left San Jose from Hotel San Palacio (top hotel from Barcelo) but down the valley to Puntarenas it cleared and got sunny. San Jose lies in the Central Valley and to go to Puntarenas makes you cross it and then mountains to. Travelling on top of the mountains with a stop at La Gardena a restaurant with a huge garden you can overlook on a clear day the entire country! Tip to see.

In Puntarenas we took the Ferry to Paquita, for about 1 hour. Breathtaking to see the coast to coast lines from the Provence of Puntarenas to Guanacaste. But if you are afraid of old Ferries then you better close your eyes. Sometimes they do sink.......

From Paquita we came into a complete tranquility atmosphere of the Guanacaste area of Bahia Ballena (bay of the wales). Into Tambor, very small place, known from a famous movie. We stayed 3 weeks in Playa Tambor from the Barcelo Resorsts, with an own nature park and very close to Punta Blanco and close enough to explore Montezuma, and many other places.

Happy New Year

First off all I want to wish everyone a very happy 2008! And I wish for you that all your dreams may come true.

I can imagine that most off you went over 2007 on the last day. Thinking about what has happend, what went well, what not. Maybe you wanted to win the lottery but dit not, lost a job, became ill or just had one lucky year. But in general, how bad can 2008 be after 2007? Just go back into that year and think off all that happend...... the world is almost upside down.

If the word "democracy" is mentioned, then you will know what I mean. Think of Burma, the Buddhist Munchs shot in the street, Pakistan, Benezir Bhutto assinated on the street, Kenia, elections a civil war is about to emerge....... What can I wish then for 2008? Exactly that the true meaning off democracy will be revealed for everybody.

Honor, respect and love, create harmony in your lifes. Surround yourself with positive thoughts for everybody in the world. I think that if this is the wish list for the new year to begin, the world has a change off Peace.
Think off it, only for a second......... oh nice thought right?

Santa is coming

Dear all,

It is almost time for the best day's off the year. At least many people have best day's. This year for me was a year in where many things happend in good ways but also in not so good ways..... Throughout this year

All my goals had to be prosponed for a later date, but that is ok. I have learned that time is a significant part of life which we cannot control. We may start the year with many ideas and hopes and wishes. However we need to be prepared also that it does not happen allways the way we want. WE are not in control.

Reiki and free Reiki, why it does not help nor fit in the system

Dear All,

Today I want to share something important with you which explains why healing given with the Usui System of Natural Healing has a price tag. Some of it is found in the other blogs here of mine but somehow explaining it seems needed for some people.

Since a few years there are website in development and more are coming on the internet in where you can request for Reiki healing. Some of those sites present it like: FREE availible. But do not explain what Reiki is nor what it does, how it has to be done and where it comes from. And what do we normal plain people like to see? The word FREE. We all love that don't we, no charge, for free, what a nice gift, how cool, awsome, sale of Reiki healing. Today on Wallmart, Reiki treatment for free, what a public relation, what a clients who want to have it.

However it does not work that way. Wake up for those who search for free treatment day in and day out. A thing like free either does not excist or does not work. Why? I will explain to you why. When dr. Usui had (re)discovered the Universal Energy, later called Reiki he went to Kyoto to test it and to create the system. He opened a clinic in Kyoto for the beggars and started treating them. He helped many people for free and tried to help them to improve their lives so that they where able to start a future again in getting jobs, homes etc. However the start was succesful, after a period of time everyone came back to him with the same disease, or worse, and their lifes had not improved at all. Dr. Usui had no idea what went wrong. And made some changes. He learned the beggars how to use the Reiki therapy and accepted payments for healings. THEN the miracle happend again. It started to work out for real and the beggars started their lifes over healed and with income, roof etc.

This is the reason why the real therapy called USUI Reiki is not working for free.

So my lesson for today is, never quest why a payment is asked for USUI Reiki but be sure you have the right and proper information of the reiki you asked for.

Dangerous Obsessions

Sometimes in life we meet people, make friendship with them and start to see or talk a lot to the persons. In some friendships the contacts are deep and the person might look at you highly and places you on a pedestal. Then something weird happens in the relation or friendship. It can get into a relationship where you can do almost anything, nasty, nice, bad, moody and the person will except everything from you. You are then officially the obsession of the friend.

What happens if the ties of this relationship are broken and the other party tries desperately to keep the contact? Many calls may follow, letters might arrive where is written "I forgive you because I love you". An obsession then can be the case why the person wants to stay into the relation or friendship. The person who is the victim of this obsession will have to cut all ties from that person. The person mostly has a personality disorder and might not even be aware of it. But continues to do everything and has many difficulties in leading a normal life or having social contact with others. The behaviour is different from normal and moodswings occur in many forms and ways. In 5 minutes the person can change from cheery and happy into a shouting monster. It creates a lot of tension and indeed a lot of stress, it can litteraly drive you crazy, or drive the person around them to become in stress and they might even be mentally abused by them.

There are 3 clusters here:
A. Strange and exentric
B. Over exaggeration, emotional and unconventional
C. Tensed behaviour and fears

The person I am talking about is the B, narcistic type, extreme feeling of how wonderful the person is, strong desire to hear how wonderful the person is, and very low capability in what the others feelings are. The start of if you meet them that they are charming and interesting, a person you would like to meet. But the longer the relation holds on the stronger the egocentric behaviour comes to surface, the person wants more and more and more. And control. The obstacl EGO makes them not easy to handle anymore because even the smallest event makes them feel hurted, they demand being treated like a queen or the best person in the world and are very weak for getting huge depression, which is shown with the moodswing. Give them someother they need or desire and hell breaks loose and they do the most crazy things you can think of.

They feel the best person in the world, most wanted for everything, but have no compassion or what ever looks like it, prio number 1 is them first then the rest. They are the greatest and the best, they fantasy of how good they are and express it every time they can, they are unique and think they should be treated like that, there need of admiration is huge, is full of the fact that they have more rights then others and come first always, others have to adapt to them, they are very manipulative and experts in lying and deceiving others, and will use any trick to get what they want and desire not matter what and no matter the damage they cause to others. They do not care for others, are not able to see what others might feel because it does not interest them at all, they hurt without taking responsibility for their actions, they are very jealous and this goes together with a lot of anger and rage. The person behaves extreme arrogant, feels superior, thinks he can do all above laws and rules and can get very upset and angry when others are not listening or do what they demand.

Those people are dangerous so my advise is to not get involved with them, I made that mistake with the person in Costa Rica who wants now to trade a piece of art for my mother. She is obsessed with my mother....... And in that obsessions she does everything she can. You name it, even destroy other's reputation or good name.

So be carefull. And note there will be a sequal in this one to.

Joker Energy

This word came not from me, this came from my friend and student Jill, yes the same Jill who encouraged me to start blogging in the first place. Joker Energy. When dit the word come to surface. It was last monday as I recall correctly. I was telling Jill about a guy who wanted to hire me for his water filter firm, but somehow it dit not feel right. In his story a link was missing like the name he used on the phone and the name he used to contact me. 2 different names of companies for 1 simular object to sell. So decided not to go to meet him. But not finding anything on the firm and his excistance dit not make me sad or angry or so, somehow it gave me a smile to see this. I felt happy about deciding not to go to the interview, intuition worked.

After I told Jill this, I received an interesting call from A Star vacation in Miami. I had won a cruise to the Bahama's jippie :) ! At least that was what they told me, then I got a full discription of where I would stay, first in Orlando at the Radison Hotel for 6 nights, then Daytona Beach for 3 nights, after that embark in the Keys on the Royal Majestic Princess to go for 2 days to Nassau in the Bahama's. The guy asked me, are you happy about this and I said yeah of course just wondering where the catch is in this one cause I must be dreaming. Jill whom I was talking to at the same time on msn almost got a fit from laughing. Where is the catch I asked this nice guy, he said there is not catch we are giving this to you and your family! Jippie I thought and was wondering what would follow.

Joker energy took over here when I was getting another guy on the phone who asked me with his biggest smile for my creditcard number and code. And I said why do you need that? You are giving me this vacaction so why should I give it to you? He said oh this is just for some taxes on airport and embarking from the ship. I said am I not the one to pay that at the airport and harbour? He said yes, this is just in case. Well I went along with his joker ride and gave him a non exicisting creditcard number. You never guess what happend? Try again? Yes ? Indeed he said, card is not valid are you sure this is the right number? Of course I said, is a new card so it should work. They putted me on hold and someone else came on the phone. (You can imagine right now that Jill was not in a fit anymore but fell of her chair from laughing). The new guy asked me for the number again which I gave, said hold on for a second, came back and said, not valid, this is strange ma'm are you worried about this? I asked him how much they wanted to charge me for the taxes because somehow that question was not answered in the 30 minutes that it took A Start to find out I was gowing with their on flow of scamming me. The guy said, oh it is just 998 us dollar.... (breath Jill mentioned on msn, breath Isabel). Before I knew it I was on hold again and was put through to, another guy. Wow I thought many people for 1 creditcard to work on. This one sounded concerned for me, he offered me that I should call my bank, but I said: "have to do that in the morning we have evening here, banks are closed". He suggested to call the emergency number and I said: "that would not be polite they can see I call from Holland........" so he offered to call my bank and I said nope thanks, I have got it covered. Then I asked him, explain to me one more time how I could have won this 15 day vacation AND pay for it. Guess what I heard after that? beep beep beep beep beep, yep he hung up on me.

So joker energy gives the huge smile in going with the ride of others and instead they scam you you give the same in return. And lesson here is not to give any details on the phone. Be carefull before you know it you are robbed indeed. Go with the flow, be aware but also keep the smile. Think joker energy and laugh cause at the end they pay for the phonecall from the US to Holland for 45 minutes trying to get my creditcard number. AND that is fun right?

Friendship part II

Part II as a sequal is needed to discribe friendship. Friendship is not to be put in one blog because it means to much to be discribed in a few words. There is a danger in how to use the word friendship and what it truly means.

Truly in friendship is having someone around you who cares about you, who loves you, who accepts you and listens to you, who sticks around not matter what. Who is there in good times and bad times. To share life experiences together. The danger is the intention of the other party in the friendship. True friendship is felt intuitionally, is about love. It feels good or somewhat off if you feel you have to take a step backwards or have the feeling that you have to act against your own being. If this last feeling occures you need to review the friendship and it contents. Is the equality in this friendship there? Are you equal? If the scale is off, then one party is the protecter or leader and the other the follower, the one who only listens and acts. Review here and there the friendship.

When the friendship is for real then you can accept also good advice from the other party in the friendship. This means that you can help the other in giving advice without being offending or abusive in tone and language. Friendship means being there and if needed to guide, this can hurt indeed a lot. Sometimes if you tell someone you love things to protect them from things or habits in life it seems like the other is getting angry, does not accept it, or the words are double hard. If you receive words of advice it also may feel you are hurt badly. If this happens then know that those who love you say this to protect you or guide you into a better direction. If it feels like this then remember the friendship is for real. Somehow we human are better in accepting advice and truth from a third party then our closest ones although we know they mean well. Get over this and accept the words and the sorry for tone or way said. Move on after this.

So friendship in real and friendship in word has different meanings. True friendship comes from the heart, is pleassant most of the times, hurts sometimes but it feels good that someone is around.
